FACULTY INTRODUCTIONS

Dr Reena Wadia

Dr Reena Wadia is the Principal Periodontist and Founder of RW Perio, a leading Harley Street clinic, and the Founder of Perio School, a global teaching academy for periodontal education, teaching dental students, dentists, and hygienists for over 10 years.

Dr Reena is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, an Expert Advisor to the BDA Indemnity Board, Co-Editor for the 'Other Journals in Brief' section of the British Dental Journal, and a Trustee of the Oral & Dental Research Trust.

Dr Devan S Raindi

Dr Devan is an RW Perio Gum Specialist with a highly advanced and evidence-based approach. He achieved a Masters in Clinical Dentistry in Periodontology (Distinction) at Kings College London following on from qualifying from the University of Birmingham (2014) with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (Honours) (Distinction in Clinical Dentistry).

Dr Devan gained Membership of the Joint Dental Faculties (RCS Eng) (2015) and became an Associate Fellow of Higher Education Academy (2020). Renowned across the specialist dental industry, he has worked across the UK, and has been consistently recognised within dentistry with numerous awards (including The Carlton Gold Medal and The Don Glenwright Prize in Periodontology).

With a highly personable approach with patients, Dr Devan regularly attends global conferences as a leading specialist and has published extensively in peer-reviewed dental journals, participating in internationally recognised collaborative research.

Dr Jay Parmar

Dr Jay Parmar (known as Dr Jay) is an RW Perio Gum Specialist. His interest in Periodontology started early on in his career and he received a distinction upon completing his specialist training in Periodontology at Guy’s Dental Hospital in London.

Dr Jay gained extensive experience through various posts, such as in general and specialist dental practice, and in oral and maxillofacial surgery at The Royal London Hospital.

Dr Jay qualified as a Bachelor of Dental Surgery with honours from King’s College London in 2014 and has attained Membership to the Joint Dental Faculties of the Royal College of Surgeons of England. He has previously been awarded the Emslie academic award and the Richard De Metz award.

Dr Jay has a strong commitment to the pursuit of new knowledge, and so regularly participates in conferences and courses, to ensure that all our patients receive the latest and most effective treatments.

Dr Sahil Patel

Dr Sahil Patel is the one the UK’s pre-eminent experts in aesthetic and reconstructive dentistry. He is the Principal dentist at Marylebone Smile Clinic and his team provide customised solutions from simple to the most complex of cosmetic dental situations.

Dr Sahil graduated from the University of Bristol, achieving merits in Restorative dentistry and Orthodontics. He has since established himself as a cosmetic dentist in London, creating the smiles of many high-profile and recognised specialist dentists/doctors, Academy Award winners, Members of Parliament, professional athletes, and others.

His work has been recognised through winning awards from the British Society for Restorative Dentistry and being a published author in the International Journal of Esthetic Dentistry and International Journal of Cosmetic Dentistry. He also teaches dentists on the subjects of photography, ceramics and occlusion.

Dr Asif Syed

Dr Asif is a dentist turned full time business consultant based in London.

After qualifying from Liverpool Dental School, Dr Asif spent the first ten years working his way up through FD, SHO, Associate GDP, Managing Partner, Principal, and running several multi-surgery practices before quitting clinical dentistry for good.

He has devoted the last ten years to helping both dentists and dental practices in his capacity as a full time business consultant.

Dr Asif runs business courses for dentists, including the communication and treatment plan acceptance course, The Exam Cycle Course.

Dr Anna Middleton

Dr Anna is a dedicated and passionate multi award-winning dental hygienist & therapist. She founded her brand ‘London Hygienist’ with the mission to change the way oral healthcare is delivered to patients. Since qualifying, Dr Anna has attracted an ever-growing and loyal customer base from the public, press and celebrities alike.

This – along with her superior and unrivalled dental service in the heart of London – means Dr Anna is regarded as one of the most popular and sought-after hygienists in London and a rising star within the industry.

Dr Anna is a key opinion leader and ambassador for several large dental brands/organisations and she regularly lectures and writes for both industry and consumer press.

Dr Len D'Cruz

Dr Len D’Cruz is a practising general dental practitioner and owner of a seven surgery practice in North East London. It provides both NHS and private care with a range of specialists and a particular focus on hygienist led prevention and periodontal care.

He is also Head of BDA Indemnity and lectures and writes extensively on dento-legal issues as well as NHS dental contract regulations. He is a lead lecturer for the Masters in Dental Law an Ethics at the University of Bedfordshire and is the author of “Dental Law and Ethics” and “Understanding NHS Dentistry”. He is on the Editorial Board of Dental Update.

Dr Lee Feinberg

Dr Lee is specialist in dental and maxillofacial radiology and works as a consultant dental and maxillofacial radiologist at Kings College Hospital, London and at the Eastman Dental Hospital, University College London Hospitals. He is currently the honorary secretary of the British Society of Dental and Maxillofacial Radiology.

He graduated as a dentist from the University of Bristol. He gained experience in oral and maxillofacial surgery, oral medicine and oral pathology. He completed his specialist training in Liverpool being trained by both dental and maxillofacial and ENT/head and neck radiologists.

He is passionate about education and holds a formal qualification in learning and teaching in higher education. He lectures regularly to postgraduate dental professionals. He is an honorary senior clinical lecturer at King's College London where he is actively involved in undergraduate teaching in dental radiology.
